It’s been a while since my last post but , you will be happy to know that we are going to be back to our regular programming soon. Can you believe that in a few months it will be the start of a new year? wow! time sure does fly. This time of year I would be reflecting and thinking about whether I have used my time wisely. It’s been a bumpy few months and I have made some drastic changes… friends, lifestyle you name it.
This look is inspired by Japanese fashion but more wearable, I had to remind myself that I was not on the streets of Harajuku hahaha. The streets of Harajuku are filled with lolitas , goths it’s a fashion frenzy. Trendy japanese people walk the streets and it’s impossible to not feel inspired. It’s s a mix of everything.
Pairing my sparkly glitter boots from Cape Robbin with my oversized Vintage Lover denim jacket made me feel like a badass but cute Dorothy ( Wizard of Oz). Clicking my heels together might have not taken me on a journey to emerald city but they sure made me feel magical.
look how they sparkle in the sun ♥
I have recently been into more themed shoots, and surprised myself by not wearing any black this time around. Black is my favourite colour . People might label me as a one trick pony with a style thats overdone.Yawn.
I disagree but that’s where personal style comes into play. I don’t have a colourful wardrobe so imagine my surprise when I bought white fishnet stockings and this really cool baby blue crewneck from Cross Colours.
Cross Colours is an american brand currently only available in the states . I managed to get my hands on this awesome crewneck on the Dollskill website. This particular crewneck had a powerful message behind it in support of womens rights. I am pleased to know that my money is going towards a good cause.
On the site it says:
” CROSS COLOURS launched its groundbreaking line of apparel with a single message: Clothing Without Prejudice. It’s a message that’s as important today as it has ever been.
Since 1989, Cross Colours has influenced the world of hip hop, sports, and pop culture. From Muhammad Ali, to TLC, to Will Smith, everyone was wearing CxC.
Today, Cross Colours is introducing their message of unity, equality, and empowerment to a whole new generation. “
Worn by artists such as Rihanna and Drake, Cross Colours is authentically urban and has an early nineties vibe to it.
It’s refreshing to change up my look (im sure you may have gotten tired of seeing black clothing) . I am starting to experiment more with colour. They say ” Women who wear black lead colourful lives “
